CHILDREN’S MINI GARDEN CRAFTS
Various August dates
Get creative and learn about planting as your little gardeners join Tracey for a fun and educational garden crafts session. Fill your tray with soil, plant flowers, seeds, and decorate with an array of colourful items and characters. What theme will they go for? Fairy garden? Dinosaur jungle? Butterflies? Maybe garden gnomes? Perhaps a mix of all!
Time: 10am and 1pm sessions

Willow Handbag Workshop with Nina from Green Spiral Willow
Willow Lunch Bag / Handbag
Saturday 3rd August 2024
Make this contemporary, sustainable and stylish handbag, ideal for carrying a packed lunch or for every day use. During the day you will learn several weaving techniques, and find out how the willow and rush are grown, harvested and processed. You can add leather or cork handles and add some fragrant English rush to create texture and colour.

We’re excited to be collaborating with Nina Stockings at Green Spiral Willow for a range of diverse workshops in 2024! Join Nina and create baskets, birdfeeders, sculptures and more. No experience necessary, and all materials provided. These events will be perfect for those looking to try something new and make a unique addition to their home or garden – or perhaps create a gift for someone special. All attendees receive a special discount voucher for use on your next visit to Thorngrove too!

Polish Asymmetric Basket
Saturday 21st September 2024
Create a charming looking Polish basket with a chunky hazel or birch handle. Perfect for house plants, dried flowers or even collecting berries and foraging. During the day you will hear about how willow is grown, harvested and processed. You will learn several different weaving techniques. If you have a special piece of wood or driftwood, bring it along for your handle.

Christmas Decorations
Saturday 16th November 2024
Get creative with this season workshop for the most wonderful time of the year! Learn how to make mini reindeer, xmas trees, mini wreaths, stars and a 10” rush angel for the top of your tree. Festive snacks and mulled wine included.
