We work to a sustainable ethos here at Thorngrove garden Centre, so this year we have teamed up with our service users at Employ My Ability to offer a Christmas Tree Collection service!
This green and renewable way to recycle means the trees will continue to be of use as mulch, helping provide protection from weeds and frost and going back into the soil to help our plants thrive. We think this is recycling at its best!
Covering a 5-mile radius from Gillingham, for just £5our service users can collect your tree between the 2ndand the 11thof January. Simply remove your decorations and it will be whisked off to be repurposed.
Money raised from collections will be going to Employ My Ability, which is a special Educational Needs & Disability provision for 16-25 year olds focusing on training, accreditation and qualification to enable pathways into employment.
Real Christmas Trees are no longer collected by the council, and many end up by the roadside. By arranging a collection, you can be assured your tree will go on to be used in a holistic way, going back into the ground to help grow new plants and flowers. Please call or email to arrange collection.
With big plans and exciting events planned for 2019 at Thorngrove Garden Centre, you can be sure it is worth a visit any time of year. Our newly refurbished garden shop is bursting with gifts, from vases and ceramics to gardening sets and stationary, from acclaimed designers such as Sophie Allport and Burgon and Ball, and our secret garden café offers delicious warming drinks, homemade cakes and a wide selection of hot meals, including vegetarian and vegan options.
