Our plant of the month for September is Physostegia (Obedient flower)
It’s a Herbaceous perennial. Likes full sun to partial shade. It will grow in most soil conditions from clay to sandy loam
If you have young children this is a great plant to have a bit of fun with because if you bend the petals of the flowers they will stay in that position hence that’s why its called the obedient plant.
